Introducing Cormorant Mortgages

My name is Clare Viner and I would like to introduce our new mortgage advice company, Cormorant Mortgages. I’m passionate about the property market. It stems from my childhood and moving home numerous times with my parents, who would move into a home, renovate it and move on to the next project. This love of properties gave me the inspiration for my husband and I to develop our own small renovation projects alongside our day jobs. Several years later we are now building our own property. The buying and selling of property in my personal life gave me some invaluable experience of the mortgage market, and how complex it can be with confusing jargon and terminology, not to mention the minefield of different mortgages out there!

After having 2 children I wanted more of a work/life balance and decided to pursue this ‘hobby’ by putting into practise my own experience and becoming a fully qualified mortgage advisor. I have over 2 years’ experience in the industry and have successfully completed on a large number of diverse cases; from first time buyers using the help to buy scheme to multiple buy to let purchases and even self-build mortgage applications.

Lynsey is the other half to the team and has over ten years’ experience working as an events manager in Maidstone - she is highly organised! After having her first child Lynsey decided the stressful world of organising high-profile events did not fit with her home life and gave up her career to become a full-time mum. Like myself Lynsey and her partner are also mad about properties and have recently completed a full refurbishment on their home in Whitstable. She will be the first point of contact for you and will be happy to help along the way.

The biggest investment in a person’s life is purchasing their first home, or an investment property. The process can be incredibly daunting, and any decision should not be taken lightly. As your mortgage advisor I will be there every step of the way to guide you through, and to make it as stress free as possible for you.
